These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Dot.Tutor, operated by BluePin Inc ("BluePin", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Dot.Tutor, you agree to these Terms.
Dot.Tutor is a tutoring session marketplace: tutors list subjects and an hourly rate, students browse and book sessions, and either side can leave a rating and review after a completed session.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
If you list yourself as a tutor, you're responsible for the accuracy of your profile, subjects, and rate, and for delivering sessions you accept. If you book a session as a student, you're responsible for attending or cancelling in reasonable time. Dot.Tutor connects tutors and students — it does not employ tutors, and is not a party to the tutoring arrangement itself.
Ratings and reviews must reflect an honest account of a real completed session. You agree not to post a rating or review that's false, defamatory, or unrelated to the session it's attached to.
You agree not to:
Dot.Tutor is part of the Dot Ecosystem. If you sign in via another Dot Ecosystem platform, you authorise that platform to hand off a short-lived, single-use authentication token confirming your identity to Dot.Tutor.
You may stop using Dot.Tutor and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, or an approved tutor listing, if you violate these Terms or use Dot.Tutor in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or the Dot Ecosystem.
Dot.Tutor is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not vet, guarantee, or take responsibility for the quality, accuracy, or safety of any tutoring session, and we do not guarantee that Dot.Tutor will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BluePin Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Dot.Tutor, including damages arising from a tutoring session, rating, or review.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
